Rose and Amir meet by chance under the scorching southern sun.
Rose has run away from her family, whom she hates.
Amir has said goodbye to the family he loves.
She has nothing to live for. He has nothing to live on.
Together, they travel into the unknown.
“Sunny Side” is a musical road trip about two wayward young people. It is about seeing the world from a different perspective, adapting to very different circumstances and responsibilities and getting to know oneself.
At the 2016 Spring Festival, ZeRUM’s theatre instructor Sine Sværdborg will be working with four classes of school children from Amager to put on one or more site-specific theatre productions. Using a range of sensory performance installations, classes will explore the urban space between their school and the Spring Festival, what cultural encounters involve and how language can be supplemented with sand and oranges.
At noon on Tuesday 24th May, you can get to feel what a sensory path feels like before the performance of “Sunny Side”.
