Springfestival 2021 is well over, and it has in every way been a joy for the senses and imagination that ZeBU and Børnekulturhus Ama’r have been able to hold the international theater festival at a time when restrictions and recommendations have played a part in the planning. More than 1300 guests passed by from 25 – 30 May, of which the 700 family audiences were pampered by an excellent weekend program filled with street theater, new circus, workshops and concerts.

We thank you for this year and look forward to welcoming the city’s children, young people and adults to a sumptuous program of theater from home and abroad in 2023.

We have now launched the sale for Springfestival 2021, which offers more than 80 events from May 25th – 30th with everything from street theater to concerts, workshops to festival hits.⁠

Of course, we follow the authorities’ guidelines, so that everyone – audiences as well as artists – have a good and safe festival experience. The beloved giraffes from the Catalan / Spanish theater troupe Xirriquiteula Teatre have been a regular ingredient in Springfestival since the start in 2007, and this year they can celebrate their 20th anniversary to the delight of young and old. They have been around the world and enjoy all sizes as they stroll curiously around the streets and alleys. Of course they will visit Springfestival once again, when the festival takes place from May 25th – 30th in a safe environment.
